Fox Peak Ski and Snowboard Area Guide

The ski field is sited beneath Fox Peak the highest point on the giant Two Thumb Range close to midway of   the Christchurch - Queenstown Highway   You can easily see the 7300 ft mountain from most parts of South Canterbury. It is operated by a non profit ski club, it is renowned for its friendliness, mountain accommodation, wide-open spaces and huge runs for all levels of enthusiast. Apart from the learner and intermediate slopes the snow is left in its natural state enabling you to find that special trail that turns you on for that day.

At Fox Peak there is a huge variety of awesome trails for all levels of snowsports abilities. You can access hundreds of acres of natural snow - just as nature intended it to be. You will encounter stunning views and unbelievable silence.  As either a skier or boarder at any level you will be able to find excitement and fulfilment on the trails that are best for you on the day

Four rope tows total over 2km in length provide you with a fabulous 5 80 metres of vertical lift - the highest in the region. The Rope Tows are well maintained and there are always friendly helpful people willing to assist you in the art of using the nutcrackers.
